Meet Avijah Scarbrough: From Orange County to QVC Host
Avijah Scarbrough has quickly become a recognizable face on QVC since joining the team in August 2024. Her journey to becoming a beloved host is a testament to her diverse talents and dedication.
Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Avijah’s career path took her through the rigorous world of journalism before landing in the vibrant realm of live shopping. Prior to her move to Pennsylvania for QVC, she worked as a journalist in Colorado, where she honed her skills in reporting and connecting with audiences.
Avijah’s journalistic background is extensive, spanning both hard news and lifestyle reporting. As she shared, “Before focusing on lifestyle and entertainment news, I covered hard and breaking news on everything from natural disasters to crime.” This experience undoubtedly equipped her with the ability to think on her feet and engage with a wide range of topics.
Beyond news, Avijah is an accomplished speaker and host. She has been invited to speak at several TEDx events, including TEDx UC Irvine, where she delivered a powerful message about “embracing your differences.” She has also lent her talents to hosting and emceeing various international conferences, showcasing her poise and versatility.
Her academic background is equally impressive. Avijah graduated from California State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in International Business, and she furthered her education by earning a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California.
Avijah is married and often posts photos of she, her husband and their two daughters on Instagram.
The moment Avijah received the call offering her the QVC host position was a truly memorable one. She described feeling a “rush” and the profound realization that “wow dreams really do come true.” The excitement was contagious, with her two daughters reportedly jumping up and down with joy at the news of their mom’s dream job.

Since joining QVC, Avijah has quickly made her mark. Outside of her busy career, Avijah also enjoys playing pickleball.
