American Idol premiered its new season last week. Now, it’s time for another night of auditions. One fresh face you will see onscreen is Calvin Upshaw. We’ve got a few facts about Calvin below. So, keep reading if you want to learn more about the American Idol hopeful.
1) Calvin is 26 years old.
2) His one major passion is music. According to his Instagram bio, he’s a triple threat. He can sing, rap, and dance.
3) He goes by the moniker Platinum C when he’s released music. He’s posted on TikTok and on his IG using that name.
4) He has an adorable son named Calvin Jr.! Check out the cute birthday post from Instagram below:
5) He filmed his audition in California back in the fall of 2020. Whether or not he will sing or rap is unclear.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens. Will Calvin’s skills be good enough to get him a golden ticket? American Idol will air Feb. 21 at 10 PM ET, only on ABC.
