American Idol season 20 has brought lots of new talent to the stage. This week, Dakota Hayden will take the stage and audition for the judges. Find out more about the talented singer below with these five facts.
1) He’s a singer-songwriter from Fordsville, Kentucky. Fordsville is a little more than 2 hours from Frankfort, Kentucky’s capital.
2) Dakota is 17 years old and a senior at Trinity High School.
3) Performing in cities like Nashville has always been a dream. He’s always down to sing and loves being able to get his music out into the world any way he can. Not only does he sing, but he plays guitar too.
4) Music influences range from Johnny Cash to new country. One artist he’s often covered is Morgan Wallen. Morgan competed on NBC’s The Voice. So, it’s easy to see why Dakota would draw from him. His TikToks have garnered hundreds of thousands of views. But, that’s not all. He has 64.7K likes on the platform too. We suspect those numbers to skyrocket after Idol.
5) Recently, he went to Las Vegas, Nevada. But, it wasn’t just a fun trip. Work got done, too – recording! He was in a studio recording music. See the Instagram below.
