February 14 is Valentine’s Day. But, for people competing on American Idol, it’s time for the world to see their auditions. One contestant is DJ Johnson, a young girl who’s trying out on the all-new season. We’ve got five facts about DJ below. So, keep reading to find out more about the American Idol hopeful.
1) DJ Johnson is a Texas native. She grew up in Lindale, but since moved to Longview.
2) DJ said that singing for the judges was the “scariest and best choice” she’s ever made.
3) She’s a talented songwriter. She wrote an original song called “Scars,” which she posted to YouTube.
4) DJ has been posting covers on her YouTube channel for 2 years. From classics like “Dream a Little Dream of Me” to 2000s tunes such as “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” she’s sung it all.
5) Singing has been DJ’s outlet for as long as she can remember. She passed the preliminaries with flying colors, but auditioning in front of the judges is a whole new thing.
