Rob Lowe has two sons. One of them is John Owen Lowe, who is the youngest of the two. You may have seen him and his brother troll their dad on Instagram, but what else do you know about John Owen? Find out more about him with these five fun facts below before he’s on Celebrity Family Feud on June 6.
1) Like we said above, John Owen is the youngest of the two brothers. He is 26 years old, and was born in 1995.
He has a beautiful musical talent in playing the piano. Hear one of his performances he posted to Instagram in this video.
2) He attended Stanford University. According to BravoTV, he studied science technology.
He’s very supportive of his older brother, Matthew who graduated from law school at Loyola Marymount University. You can see the two in this graduation photo. Johnny jokes about himself possibly receiving a Teen Choice Award while his brother upholds the constitution, but make no mistake about it, John is smart too. He graduated from Stanford University!
3) John Owen has made a few appearances in the acting world too! Most recently, he wrote an episode of his father’s show 9-1-1: Lone Star. Even cooler? That same episode was directed by Rob’s brother, Chad Lowe. The episode aired on May 3, 2021 and was titled “Slow Burn.”
4) Even though he studied science technology in college, John Owen must’ve picked up a liking for television writing. He’s currently a staff writer on 9-1-1: Lone Star, and wants to write “darker scenes” for his dad’s character of Owen Strand.
Johnny always likes to hit the golf course with his father and of course why not add in a celebrity friend. Chris Pratt joined in on the fun at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, California.
5) In addition to writing for TV, he’s appeared on a variety of TV and entertainment news media. Programs like The View, Extra, and Entertainment Tonight are only a few. Prior to his work on Lone Star, he guested on some episodes of The Grinder, also starring his dad, Rob.
Matthew isn’t the only one who loves dogs! John also has his own puppy who has his own Instagram as well. His name is Gilbert and he is best friends with Matthew’s dog, Bella.
