5 Facts on K9 Mask from Shark Tank

  • by

K9 (pronounced like “canine”) Masks are the innovative shield for dogs that changes things so they can breathe better. The mask is designed to be effective but breathable, so dogs won’t feel like they’re wearing a muzzle. If you’re curious about this product, check out some fun facts below. It’ll make its Shark Tank debut this week.

1) K9 Mask was invented by Kirby Holmes, who was on the hunt for a mask for his dog. When he couldn’t find one, he called on Evan Daugherty to commission his idea.

2) They began a KickStarter campaign in 2019, and raised over $10,000. Kirby and Evan then formed The Good Air Team LLC to begin creating the product.

3) A K9 Mask is $59 and comes in four different sizes to fit all dogs. There is: small, medium, large, and extra large. The masks are filtered, and you can choose the color – black, pink, red, orange, or blue.

4) There’s an N-95 filter to protect from pollution or from COVID-19. Since the pandemic, they’ve since pivoted to make masks for people too. You can purchase them on their website, or through Amazon.

5) Kirby and Evan want to get their product into the retail space, specifically into pet stores. That’s one of their goals with going on Shark Tank.
