Kinfield from Shark Tank: Everything You Need to Know

Kinfield is a changing the landscape for outdoor living companies. This one has a new vision and its all inclusive. You may be curious just how they are making such a big change, that question and so many more will be answered below. The founder of Kinfield wants to know if the sharks will take a bite out of her deal on Shark Tank. Let’s get to know Kinfield better.

1. Kinfield is a sustainable outdoor living brand looking for a “better tomorrow.” According to their website, “we’re here for the 5 A.M. hikers, the rosé-in-the-park enthusiasts, and everyone in between. Our mission is to inspire a happier, healthier world by empowering you to live your best life outside.” You may think Kinfield sells clothing, but that is not the case. They create clean alternatives for staple products such as sunscreen, mosquito repellant, anti-itch balm, moisturizing lip balm, hydrating moisturizers and more. Just sans the chemicals.

2. The founder and CEO of Kinfield is Nichole Powell. Her story starts with her own trip she took where she realized many of the outdoor living products she had were ones from her childhood. The sustainability and safe ingredients were just out of reach in those products. After much searching she realized there was a hole in that market. So she set out to create her own.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, International Studies, and European Studies, Powell has spent much of her career in multiple roles. Those roles range from a Client Accounts Intern to Business Development at Modern Citizen. Then she began Kinfield in April of 2018 according to her Linkedin.

3. To remain sustainable and environmentally friendly, Kinfield forgoes typically packaging materials and instead sends the products in reusable produce bags. Kinfield is also a proud member of 1% for the Planet.

4. Their top selling products include the Golden Hour Mosquito Repellant, Sunglow SPF 35 aluminizing face sunscreen and Relief Balm anti-itch remedy.
