The Little Elf Shark Tank Company Gets Mixed Reactions

  • by

The Little Elf debuted on Shark Tank on ABC on December 1st. This paper cutting device wowed the sharks as 21 year old Bryan Perla demonstrated his innovation to the millionaire.

You just put the device around the roll of wrapping paper, pull it out to the amount of paper you need to use, then slide the device up the roll, cutting the paper at the same time.

No more jagged edges or ripped paper when wrapping presents.

Perla is looking to change the wrapping paper industry by bringing a simple solution to the table.

Little Elf was given a deal by shark, Lori Greiner who saw a tremendous value in the product and most certainly will bring it to the QVC stage.

Greiner took to Twitter to ask the following question, “Would you buy the Little Elf?”

You might be surprised to know that her poll which was voted on by 1,448 people leaned more towards no than yes. 54% no and 46% yes.

Comments from fans ranged from gripes about shipping costs, preferring to buy competitor products for less, excitement for the product, and even mentions that this product already exists. Take a look below at the comments from fans.

@Salvester14 simply said “Amazon $3.99” and shared a picture of a similar product.

@ChrisTheFunk said “I did about 5 years ago from a different company.”

@timadamsphilly said “A great stocking stuffer idea!”

@valeriep35 said “I did, while the presentation was in progress! I wrap 200-300 boxes for #OperationChristmasChild every year, plus family gifts, so when I saw this, I knew it was for me! Can’t wait to get it!

@jehedgesphoto said “I went to buy on your site but charging $6+ for shipping on the two set..no can do. Checked @amazon & competitor selling similar product cheaper plus free shipping. Kill shipping charge on 2 pack & I’ll buy.

Looks like Lori and Perla have some marketing work to do and potentially either a way to make The Little Elf seem better than the competition or to cut shipping prices out.
