American Idol airs its Hollywood round episode this week. One contestant who will take part is Mignon. Her name alone will make you remember this talented singer. Want to know more? 1) Her name is pronounced like “Min-Yawn.” As she points out in her Instagram bio, it’s not pronounced like “minion.”
2) Also according to her IG bio, she is a “dog, summer, and song lover.” She’s based in Nashville, Tennessee. But, she wishes it was in Texas. She survived the “snow-pocalypse” that took over Nashville this February though. Check out a fun photo below:
3) She’s been married to Jaxon Hargrove for a year and a half. They got engaged in 2018; married in September 2019. Jaxon’s in the business too. He’s a music producer and engineer. If you’re wondering who the dog is in the above photo, that’s Louie. He’s a mixed breed, and super adorable!
4) Mignon loves performing on stage. She played CMA Fest in 2019. Another famous event she’s done? SXSW! Pretty impressive, right? Having a strong stage presence will help her out in the competition.
5) She graduated from Belmont University. Her degree is in commercial voice and songwriting. Considering her Idol journey, it’s the perfect educational path. Her stunning voice is showcased on her singles. The most recent is “Wanna Know You.”
How Did Mignon React to Her Golden Ticket?
Mignon announced her American Idol audition on Instagram. The audition did not air on television but she said, “I’M GOING TO HOLLYWOOD!!! ⭐️ and even though my audition didn’t air, I am so incredibly excited to say I will be featured on NEXT WEEK’S EPISODE aka the first week of Hollywood! 🤩
