Gary Vaynerchuk is a very popular business influencer who got his start when he created “The Wine Library.” Since then, his business has soared and he boasts over 10 million followers on Instagram, not to mention other platforms. His audience is quite large. Up until now, his mentions of his own family remained largely private.
That changed when he posted a new picture with his girlfriend, Mona Vand. The picture shows the two at Grand Central supporting their friend Kim Shui, AKA, Hpnotik, a fashion designer.

Mona Vand went to the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where she earned her PhD in six years. Following school she started along the path to become a pharmacist when she returned to her home in Los Angeles. This was where she quickly learned her calling was beyond the 9-5.
What is Dr. Mona Vand’s ethnic background?
She is Persian according to her Instagram account. While Gary is somewhat sparse with his postings of Mona, she more than makes up for it on her own Instagram account. Here you see more of her family and what the Persian culture is like. You’ll even get a peek at Gary Vee at the party who she describes as “my love.”
She captions the photo with, “I become the most authentic version of myself when I’m with my family. It’s not even like i try to mask it other times, it’s just that they draw out the true me: joyful, happy, and content with very little – just us in a room together. Oh and how cute is my love 😍”
What exactly does Mona Vand do for work?
According to her Linkedin, Mona worked for RiteAid Pharmacy as an intern and a pharmacist back in 2006 – 2010. She then worked as a clinical Pharmacist for an Independent Pharmacy in Los Angeles from 2014 – 2016. Then she launched her own business.
She currently touts herself as an “an expert in nutrition and natural wellness, dedicated to keeping people off medications in the first place.”

Are Nema Vand and Mona Vand related?
Nema Vand was on the show “Shahs of Sunset.” Before he was on the show he was a Digital Marketing and Branding Consultant. While the two spent much time apart, Nema and Mona are in fact brother and sister.
The connection continues though. Nema Vand actually works for Vayner Productions as a Director. Prior to that role he worked as a Director for One37pm which is also a Gary Vaynerchuk company. One may question if Gary met Mona because of her brother Nema!
