1. Started by co-founders Nathan and Sophia while they were students at Stanford. Nathan first needed glasses at the age of 8. They connected with someone who previously was the head of product at Warby Parker.
2. The co-founders realized the prices for eyeglasses were so high because only one company controls the eyewear industry. By skipping traditional channels and designing glasses in house allow pricing to be kept low for kids.
