Parker McKay is a talented singer from Nashville. She auditioned for NBC’s The Voice season 21 this year. While we wait to see if she made it onto any of the coaches’ teams, find out more about her below with these five fun facts.

1) Apparently being entertaining runs in the family. There’s a whole Instagram highlight reel of her family hamming it up for the cameras. One fun thing she and her dad like to do to each other is FaceTime from different spaces. They then “shut” each other in! Check out the clip below to see what we mean:
2) In September of last year, she hit the milestone of 1,000 followers on Spotify. For an independent Nashville country-pop artist, that’s pretty major!
3) Currently, she’s in a relationship with fellow musician Austin Moorhead. They’ve been together by social media standards since 2014. The duo’s gotten a couple dogs together, expanding their group a bit. Austin previously worked with country singer Jana Kramer on tour in her band. 4) She’s been a frequent fixture at CMT. Originally, she was a part of their mentorship program they started in 2018, and she performed at their studios numerous times. Other publications McKay’s been featured in are Billboard and Rolling Stone.
5) In addition to singing and playing the guitar, she’s also written songs for other artists such as Steel Nation. Their eponymous EP reached #24 on the country music charts. Aside from that, Parker’s got quite a few friends in the music business, including Carly Pearce and Taylor Kerr (Dye) of Maddie & Tae.
