Shark Tank inspires entrepreneurs of all ages to dream big, so it’s exciting to see an adolescent in the tank. One such youth is 15-year-old Carson Grill, and he will be presenting (alongside his father, Jason) his product Touch Up Cup. Touch Up Cup is designed to easily store excess paint during projects. 1. Carson Grill came up with the idea for Touch Up Cup two years ago, when he was only 13 years old! With the assistance of his dad, he was able to turn the idea into a full-fledge business venture.
2. He might live in Cincinnati, Ohio, that hasn’t stopped Carson from taking on big league businessmen. According to Spectrum News 1, Carson stayed up late, went on calls with China, and worked out logistics and patents.
3. You use Touch Up Cup to store extra paint you might need on a job, whether it’s painting a bedroom or just touching things up. They used a stainless steel mixing ball, which allows you to simply “SHAKE N’ PAINT BABY” as their catchphrase states.
4. In addition to their Touch Up Cup, Carson also came up with the idea of Fresh Line Keepers. Fresh Line Keepers are airtight, sealable containers made especially for bakery items. Examples include: bagels, donuts, muffins, cupcakes; each container is leakproof, and safe for use in the microwave.
5. Carson hopes that the exposure from Shark Tank will get more people interested in buying their product. He also wants to get Touch Up Cup into retailers so they can further expand and develop.
