1) As mentioned above, she was a part of the 90s pop group Wilson Phillips with her older sister, Carnie, and their friend Chynna. They released two albums between 1990-1992 before they parted ways in 1993. The song “Hold On” from their eponymous debut album won the Billboard Music Award Hot 100 Single of the Year for 1990.
2) In 2012, she, Carnie, and Chynna appeared on the TV Guide reality program Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On. The show chronicled the ladies’ attempt at a comeback with their 5th album Dedicated. The CD covered songs from their parents respective bands, The Beach Boys and The Mamas and the Papas.
3) She’s 51 years old; she will celebrate her 52nd birthday on October 16. Her star sign is Libra, which makes sense since they are often sociable and have great artistic gifts.
4) Wendy married sound engineer Daniel Knutson in 2002. Together, they have 4 sons: Leo, Beau, and twins Will and Jesse. Obviously the twins have the same birthday (August 17), but Leo and Beau were born 10 days apart, a year apart – September 14, 2003 and September 23, 2004, respectively. 5) In June of this year, Wendy, her dad Brian, her sister Carnie, and Carnie’s daughter Lola all performed a cover of The Beach Boys hit “God Only Knows” on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Three generations of singers in the video below – impressive, right?
