Yumble Kids from Shark Tank: Update

  • by

If you or someone you know is the parent of a picky eater, then Yumble Kids is the solution for your problem. The meal delivery service for kids was featured on season 10 of ABC’s Shark Tank. After securing a deal, founders David and Joanna Parker continued to grow their business. Find out where it is now below with five facts.

What happened with Yumble Kids after Shark Tank?

1) David and Joanna Parker founded Yumble. Their kids were quite particular when it came to food choices. So, they wanted to create something easy and delicious that the kids would enjoy.

2) Making it a meal delivery service came out of necessity. When Joanna discovered she wasn’t the only mom with picky eaters, she knew she was onto something. According to Columbia College Today, this is how Panda Plates was born. That was their original business name, before it was rebranded to Yumble.

3) Prior to the name change, the Parkers partnered with Hello Fresh co-founder Dan Treiman. Dan helped them rebrand things, including the new name of Yumble in 2017. Before their Shark Tank appearance, they were delivering meals in 26 states.

4) Joanna and David snagged a deal on Shark Tank during season 10. They went into the tank asking for $500,000 for 4%, and got that money for 6%. Their deal was with guest shark Bethenny Frankel. She was able to help make the Parkers’ plans for delivery expansion a reality.

5) Since using her star power to serve as a spokesperson, Bethenny helped increase Yumble’s popularity and audience reach. They continue to come out with new meals, including French Toast Frittata and a Sunshine Scramble Breakfast Sandwich. You can visit their website for more info and photos of the yummy food.

Season 13 of Shark Tank is coming soon. In the meantime, you can stream season 12 episodes on demand or on Hulu.
