What is the Baby Toon?
It all started when Cassidy Crowley noticed her mom having concerns when she was feeding her baby sister. Whenever her baby sister put a hard spoon in her mouth, her mom Lori would get very nervous as she saw it as a choking hazard. That’s when the light bulb went off in the big sister’s mind – how about a soft spoon?
The mother daughter duo went searching around to see how they could make their innovation. They used FDA approved soft silicone to create the Baby Toon. In addition, it was designed to be unable to go too far into the baby’s mouth preventing choking.
Did Baby Toon Strike a Deal?
They originally entered the Shark Tank with a pretty low valuation on their business. Cassidy and Lori Crowley were seeking a $50,000 investment for 50% of their company. Lori Greiner offers $50k for 50%, just what they asked for and the deal was made.
What Happened to Baby Toon After Shark Tank?
This was for sure a success story! The deal with Lori Greiner closed. In a more recent episode, they update viewers on what’s going on with Baby Toon. Lori helped Cassidy and Lori get a licensing deal with baby products and accessories company, Munchkin.
Lori is quoted as saying that this deal will help take care of Lori and Cassy’s family for a long time.
The Baby Toon spoons are available and visible on the Munchkin website. It comes in 3 different animal shapes to make eating fun for babies and toddlers.
In March 2020, they announced their partnership with Munchkin on the company’s official website.
