American Idol premiered its new season last week. Now, it’s time for another round of auditions. One fresh face stepping onto the stage is Amanda Mena. We’ve got a few facts about Amanda below. So, keep reading to learn more about this American Idol hopeful.

Did Amanda Mena get a golden ticket?
Update: Yes she did! She excitedly accepted the new golden ticket from the American Idol judges. This girl is not stopping there! She has been on the move and even performed on another television show since the announcement of the audition episode. Amanda performed “El Destino” on a Variety Show in the Dominican Republic. 1) Amanda is used to being on reality competition shows. She was on America’s Got Talent and La Voz Kids (The Voice Kids).
2) She was the AGT Golden Buzzer winner. Amanda also won season 2 of La Voz Kids back in 2014. Both of these accolades helped propel her music career. She’s since performed with Queen Latifah. Amanda even appeared on Dominicana’s Got Talent.
3) She’s verified on Instagram with 155,000 followers. She is signed to El Chaval Records.
4) She’s released her own music, including the song “Soy Latina.” That music video has over 1.1 million views on YouTube! Now that’s impressive!
5) She’s known for her amazing voice. Something unique to Amanda’s story is she used it to stand up against bullying. She shared it as a part of her AGT story. It’s wonderful to see her doing so well now.
