  • by

Whether you’re on sand, snow, or indoors, building a castle is an activity enjoyed by kids and adults alike. But, it can be a tricky task. However, Create a Castle is the solution! Replacing the classic bucket method are easy to use split-apart casts, and etched designs make it fun. Get details on the product below with these five facts from our update before it debuts on Shark Tank.

5 Facts on Create a Castle from Shark Tank

Who are the Founders?

1) Kevin and Laurie Lane are the co-owners of Create a Castle. Kevin is the founder. He came up with the idea after a trip to the beach, where he saw a parent and child struggling to make a sandcastle. He knew there had to be a better way to create the palace, so he invented one.

Where to Buy It

2) As mentioned above, the unique thing about the product comes from its pull apart molds. The molds allow the user to pack sand, snow, etc. into the shape desired. Then, they can easily sculpt the castle. A window cutter gives you windows, and a multipurpose tool gives you a way to deal with the residual sand/snow. A mesh backpack carries everything. 3) Kits available are the starter tower kit, basic tower kit, deluxe tower kit, pro tower kit and an indoor kit. The starter kit comes with 6 inch tower/turret split cylinder, ridged brick form, multipurpose tool, and mesh backpack. The basic kit includes a 10 inch tower. Deluxe has another 6 inch tower. The pro kit includes another form. The indoor kit has 6 molds, 2 pounds of sand or snow, 7 accessories, packing tool, play mat, storage pouches, toppers, and a storage case.

4) In 2018, Kevin’s product was on Live With Kelly and Ryan. The castle building kits are selling in Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and surf shops across each coastline.

5) To promote their Shark Tank appearance, Kevin and his friend Dan created a 15 foot sandcastle sculpture by their local lake. Check it out below!
