Metric Mate is a digitally data driven company in the fitness space run by co-founders MT Strickland, Braxton Davis, and Ecleamus Ricks. They step on to the Shark Tank stage to see if the sharks are interested in owning equity in their company. It’s time to find out more about Metric Mate now.

1. Metric Mate is also known as a “Training Accountability Partner.” It is meant to turn any piece of exercise equipment and turn it into smart equipment where the sensor can track calorie burn, force exertion, muscular fatigue, rep tempo, power level, and more. There is also an assessment which includes a 15 minute full body workout where it analyzes the exertion, fatigue, and output of your muscles.

2. The co-founders:

MT Strickland is a self-proclaimed “polymath” which means he is a person of a wide range of knowledge. He has worked in many different capacities including Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and Training according to his Linkedin. He is a UBS Fellow, RICE founding stakeholder, and is part of Goodie Nation.

Braxton Davis is a lawyer who went to school at Georgia State University College of Law. He is listed as one of Georgia Tech and Georgia State’s 40 under 40. He’s an entrepreneur, patent attorney and an adjunct professor who’s working currently as general counsel for Facebook.

Ecleamus Ricks, according to Linkedin, is an experienced principal consultant in .NET, C++, Agile Methodologies, Software Requirements, and Test Automation. He has worked for National Instruments, a school district, Headspring Systems and now is a co-founder at Metric Mate.

3. Watch as they demonstrate how the Metric Mate works right from your smartphone. It will give you a guided workout at differing levels. They tell you how to get the best results of the assessment which will help you get to your fitness goals.

4. These guys also have their own podcast called, “The No Cap Table.” You can find the recordings of their podcast here.

5. Metric Mate has a very standout testimonial from people who are serious about fitness and just about everything else. The testimonial reads, “I would be 100% sold on joining a gym because they had this tool” signed from Candice Lovelace – Military Sealift Command Operations Officer US Navy.
