Pandaloon from Shark Tank: 5 Facts & Update

  • by

The Pandaloon may sound like a complex name for something, but, we can assure you, it’s a fun title for an even more adorable product for your pet(s). The clothing, costume, and accessory brand has taken the Internet by storm, and was even featured on ABC’s Shark Tank. Keep reading below for five facts, and an update on Pandaloon.

1) Pandaloon was created by Eugenia Chen, and her company really took off after a video of a dog running around in a panda suit went viral. She’s since expanded her line to include not only the original panda bear costume, but also: a teddy bear, lion, unicorn, bunny, penguin, koala bear, and a polar bear. As you can see in the photo below, even cats can wear the costumes!

2) She struck a deal with Daymond John for $60,000 for 35%; Daymond would donate 10 percent to animal charities. Daymond is still working with Pandaloon since Chen’s appearance in 2018 on Shark Tank. With his backing, she’s since done harnesses, accessories, and panda-themed clothing for people.

3) Pandaloon’s social media is pretty incredible, as their Instagram has over 26,000 followers, not to mention over 160 million views on that viral Facebook video. Wow!

4) In addition to their stellar social media presence, Pandaloon has been featured on National Geographic’s NatGeo channel show, Pupparazzi, and GMA Day.

5) While their Amazon store only sells their bestselling Shark Tank featured costumes, their reviews are great. 4.3/5 stars, with customers calling the “walking” pet costume “cute and hilarious.”
