Cooking has been a pastime many people have been getting into lately, and that includes grilling. One problem people run into is keeping their grills going to achieve their food goals. 1) Oron and Riki Franco are the founders of Prime 6. Oron has his degree in Culinary Arts, while Rikki has an MBA. The couple have experience with start-ups, and have a passion for cooking, especially when it comes to grilling.
2) The uniqueness of Prime 6 is that it’s made from hardwood sawdust, which is more sustainable. It’s slowly compressed into their hollow, hexagonal design which offers better airflow, and longer burning charcoal.
3) It’s very dense, and has a 6-8 hour burn time. One pound of Prime 6 equates to 3 pounds of lump charcoal, so you don’t have to use much. There’s also no chemical taste to your food after grilling, so with no residue, there’s no mess or fuss.
4) Their packages equate to about 30 pounds of lump charcoal, so you’re also getting more bang for your buck. There’s 9, 18, and 22 pound sizes, for $24.99, $44.99, and $49.99, respectively. With lump charcoal, you’d get about 12 uses; with Prime 6 you get almost double that with 22.
5) You can buy it on their website, and on Amazon. The product is available online via Lowe’s and Walmart, but getting into retail space would be great for Riki and Oron. Maybe a shark can help them with that.
