Yellow Leaf Hammocks are a way to relax that will make you feel good by giving back too. The do-gooder brand will be on ABC’s hit entrepreneurial show, Shark Tank, so keep reading below for more details on Yellow Leaf, including how they came to be.
Update on Yellow Leaf Hammocks
In 2017, the Yellow Leaf Hammocks were named as one of Oprah’s favorite things which she promoted to everyone. This certainly gave them a big lift. We checked their Instagram. They have 14.6K followers but haven’t posted since July 30th when they were mentioning their episode of Shark Tank was airing again. The post was in promotion of a contest to win $500 worth of product. They have nearly 10K followers on Facebook and also last posted on July 30th.
They have been seen on Vogue, The New York Times, Outside, and Good Morning America.
The Offer
Joe Demin and Rachel Conners walked into the tank asking for $400,000 for 7% equity in their company. The Kind founder, Daniel Lubetzky offered $1,000,000 for 33% stake in the company. Joe and Rachel countered with $1 million for 25% and Lubetzky accepted.

1) The passionate mission behind Yellow Leaf Hammocks came from Joe Demin and Rachel Connors, who, while on vacation, were struck by the craftspeople behind the prettiest handwoven hammocks. Joe came back from the trip with a vow: to partner with these artists and give the public quality hammocks.
2) Rachel and Joe have also cut out the middleman, which allows for their craftspeople’s livelihoods to be positively impacted. Across their weaving communities, they are able to provide hardworking mothers with jobs to provide for their families when they need it most. Win-win!
3) They have beautiful hammocks on sale, ranging in a variety of colors and patterns, including tropical and vivid brights. They even have specialty hangers, which are a super-helpful accessory to hook up your hammock.
4) The best part about their hammocks is that they are weather-safe, can be hung outside, and have space for up to 3 people. Gone are the days of a one-person only hammock – a few friends can pile in for a day in the sun!
5) They have a 5-star rating, with customers raving about how comfortable it is, not to mention how wonderful the quality is. Sounds like something the sharks might want to consider investing in!
