Doris Hancox aka Mama Doris is an entertainment personality who rose to fame thanks to a viral Celebrity Family Feud appearance. She is the mother of actor Anthony Anderson. Doris starred alongside her son in black-ish and appeared on E!’s Trippin’ with Anthony Anderson and Mama Doris. 1) She is 70 years old with her birthday being on July 11. Doris doesn’t let her age keep her from doing what she wants to do! From traveling across the globe to appearing on television with her son, she does it all.
2) Her husband is Sterling Bowman. They live in Los Angeles, California. In 2021, Doris posted a throwback video featuring Sterling and Anthony.
3) Since her clip from Celebrity Family Feud went viral, Anthony’s mom was given another showbiz opportunity. Most recently, she appeared on the popular game show, To Tell the Truth, alongside her son. Her charisma and originality make her a star.
4) In addition to being a loving mother, she is a doting grandmother. Anthony’s children Nathan and Kyra are all grown up, but Doris loves them so much. Given that she was a single mother herself, it makes sense she values the importance of family.
