5 Facts on Pooch Paper from Shark Tank

  • by

If you have a dog, and you’ve gotten tired of using plastic bags to pick up after them, then Pooch Paper is perfect for you. The clever idea of using paper to clean up pet waste will be shown on Shark Tank this week. Keep reading below for more details on the invention, and the inventor.

1) Pooch Paper was invented by Tracy Rosensteel after she researched how many plastic dog waste bags end up in landfills. Read: 500 million! She wanted to make another way that was effective, and environmentally-friendly. Enter: Pooch Paper.

2) Pooch Paper is made from 100% biodegradable, 100% compostable, recycled bleach paper. Tracy tested tons of different papers before finding the right one in 2018.

3) Even though it’s only been on the market for a year, Pooch Paper is being sold on one of the nation’s largest pet sites, Chewy.com. You can purchase it there or on their official website.

4) Tracy has plenty of experience in the financial sector. She spent over ten years in New York City working with investment banks, firms, etc. She established her own consulting company in 2007 to deal with financial matters, Vega Consulting. Safe to say she knows her stuff, especially when it comes to business figures!

5) Tracy, along with her dog, Indiana Jones, had success in pitching her product on GenBiz and the C-Suite Network. But, she hopes that with the help of the sharks, she can really change the way people think about cleaning up after their dogs.

See what happens for Tracy and Pooch Paper when ABC’s Shark Tank airs tonight at 8 PM ET.
