An Update on Rock Bands from Shark Tank

  • by

Rock Bands were exactly as the name sounds. The product pitched on Shark Tank was a fashionable wristband accented with “healing” stones. Inventor Lee Dalhberg even had a celebrity partner in Robin Leach, which helped his pitch. So, did he get a deal for his wristbands? What’s become of Rock Bands? Find out below.

Where are Rock Bands now?

1) Lee’s product got the sharks’ attention. The bracelets were quite stylish, and there were lots of colors and designs. But, his sales weren’t as impressive. Even so, two sharks ended up making an offer. Lee came in asking for $100,000 for 20%. He left with $100,000 for 40% with two sharks. The two sharks were Daymond John and Mark Cuban.

2) Unfortunately, the deal didn’t pan out. According to the Gazette Review, the potential copyright infringement could’ve played a part. People were trying to use his trademarked name on their own items, like clothes. This caused Lee a lot of problems.

3) After attempting it on his own for a while post Shark Tank, Lee wasn’t having success in running a full-fledged business. So, he opted out. But, don’t worry. He’s still selling his bracelets online his website.

4) In November 2020, Lee announced that another company called Chicton opted to partner with him to sell his products.

5) As you can see above, the company’s Instagram page isn’t completely dead. Lee’s still posted “once in a blue moon,” but nothing’s regularly scheduled. Meanwhile, he’s been focused on his other business venture: making furniture. That project is called You Son of a Bench, and it’s doing great. They’ve got almost 47,000 Instagram followers!
