SoleMender from Shark Tank: An Update

  • by

If you have trouble with your feet, then you may want to check out this product. SoleMender is a foot roller for plantar fasciitis, and it was pitched during Shark Tank‘s ninth season. Find out what happened post-Shark Tank below, including where the company is now.

SoleMender Update

1) Ehan and Vinay Kamat co-founded the foot roller for plantar fasciitis. For those that don’t know, the aforementioned condition is inflamed tissue that connects the heel bone to your toes.

2) On the show, Ehan and Vinay went in asking for $75,000 For 10%. They did not end up with a deal from Shark Tank. But, that hasn’t stopped them. Their company is still thriving.

3) Ehan invented SoleMender when his mom was suffering from plantar fasciitis. He wanted a more effective, less messy way for his mom to get relief from her foot pain, while still utilizing doctor-recommended methods. With the help of his father, Vinay, a doctor, he built the prototype, according to Shark Tank Tales. Did we mention he was only 12 years old when the idea came about? His Shark Tank appearance happened when he was 17!

4) What differentiates the product from other foot rollers out there is its non-slip base and removable, freezable roller. It’s recommended to use ice and stretches to alleviate foot pain associated with plantar fasciitis, and Ehan’s product does both.

5) They only have the one product online for purchase. After Shark Tank, Ehan went to college. He’s finishing up his degree from UC Berkeley in business administration and management, and is set to graduate in 2022, per his LinkedIn.
