An Update on Manscaped from Shark Tank

  • by

You all know the term “mansplaining.” Well, what about “manscaping?” The newer term regarding men’s grooming habits has become popular in recent years. That’s why a father son-duo went on Shark Tank in 2018 with their line of products called Manscaped. So, did they walk away with a deal? Where’s their business now? Find out all that information below with our update and five facts.

Details on Manscaped from Shark Tank

1) Steve and Josh King went into the tank looking for $500,000 for a 7% stake in their company. While they didn’t get that, they made a deal with not one, but two sharks! Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner offered the duo $500,000 in exchange for 25%, according to CNBC.

2) Manscaped’s product line includes grooming kits for men’s lower body, as well as products like razors and trimmers. The sleek black and gold packaging make the products look luxe. But, they have a fairly affordable price tag. They have one-time purchase options, or a 1, 2, 3, or 6 month option.

3) Some of their new products include: cologne, the Performance Package (an all-in-one grooming kit), and an electric nose hair trimmer. Currently, you can shop on their website or on Amazon.

4) The company made a big leap in 2020. According to Bloomberg, Manscaped launched in over 30 European countries. Apparently the Shark Tank deal didn’t end up happening after all, but never fear! They’ve become sponsors for sports teams like the the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Kings.

5) Whether it was the Shark Tank exposure, or the major sports sponsorships, something positive came out of it for Manscaped. Their social media presence is astounding, with 486,000 followers on Instagram. They are verified on Instagram, and Twitter, with the latter having 32,000 followers. Impressive!
