It’s a predicament most people have probably found themselves in, they just don’t admit it: losing track of time while using the bathroom. With smartphones to the classic newspaper, everyone can get distracted from time to time, and the restroom isn’t the place for it. 1) Adam Stephey is the CEO and Founder of Katamco, which created Toilet Timer. His wife Katie alerted Adam about spending too much time in the bathroom, which led him to create the prototype of Toilet Timer.
2) Adam launched the product in 2017 after a successful KickStarter campaign. Now, just 3 years later, he and his wife will appear on Shark Tank. Crazy how time flies, right?
3) The idea is to keep people moving right along as they do their business. The timer is set for 5 minutes, but, if you need more time, simply flip it over. Then, it begins again. It’s even doctor-approved – you’re not really supposed to be sitting for longer than 3-5 minutes in that position.
4) There’s the classic version, “Dad” version, and one featuring a cat called, “Feline.” They are available on Amazon or on their official website.
5) 21 million views on Facebook, thousands of positive reviews on Amazon, and Toilet Timer’s featured on sites like Mashable and BuzzFeed. So, will any sharks invest?
