A lifesaving product was presented on ABC’s Shark Tank by Dr. Robert Yonover, who actually shocked the sharks with his early success. But, did he walk away with a deal? 1) The See/Rescue Streamer is a safety device that allows you to “light up” to show your location, if you ever get stranded. Whether that be on land, or sea, the whole point of the Rescue Streamer is that you will stand out amongst your surroundings, thanks to its light system. It uses patented emergency search technology that can be seen day or night, which helps you to be found sooner, therefore lessening the dangers you could face.
2) Dr. Robert Yonover is a Ph.D geochemist and volcanologist, which yes, means he studies volcanoes. He’s done deep dives off the Galapagos Islands, not to mention worked with NASA and MIT, according to his bio on the official website. Sounds like he’s more than qualified to have invented something so helpful and tactical.
3) Surprisingly enough, See/Rescue Streamer does not have an Instagram page, but, they do have a Twitter and Facebook. They do not have a massive following on either platform; given the major impact their product is having though, they may not need it.
4) While Dr. Yonover did not walk away with a deal on Shark Tank, his work is patented, not to mention used by the military! He’s even appeared on CNN, PBS, and the Discovery Channel.
5) Rescue Streamer is doing amazingly well on Amazon, where they are being sold currently. They’ve got 5 stars, and a whole slew of customers have said it’s “the perfect safety gift.” A job well done, Dr. Yonover!
